Has Modern Architecture Eradicated Traditional Style Homes?

For centuries people have always found sanctuary in a “traditional” style home. A style that conforms, one that exemplifies a place of community and connection, but as we enter the 21st century it is becoming more apparent that modern architecture is here to stay. Modern or contemporary architecture for new homes is becoming more desirable than the traditional style home we all know so well. We are accustomed to this style because it has been a constant popular style seen in magazines and living communities everywhere. Traditional style is based on colonial or craftsman interior and exterior design styles. Modern style houses create a calm energy and enlist in easier design and planning. People want the interior and exterior of their homes to be visually exciting but not overwhelming. A modern home allows for this feeling to arise in those who are looking to find a flexible yet creative new space to call home.
